Tiny Black Dots

November 5th, 2010

I have been advised several times to take care of some (yucky) warts under my left eye.  Yes, of all places, a few tiny black dots found a spot on my face where they will be very visible!  I am a bit scared to have that minor procedure because I was told that it will involve cautery, which is a process of burning skin tissue by burning.  Just the sound of it makes me really cringe!

Time for an Upgrade

November 2nd, 2010

One of our next home projects is a bed upgrade and we’d love to get a king size bed this time.  Although it is in our to-buy list for early next year, I have started checking around mattresses whenever we’re at shopping centers and even online.  We’re not sure yet if we’re getting a bedroom package as the ones I saw are really pricey but for sure, the priority is getting a much bigger bed.

Christmas Shopping 2010

October 25th, 2010

My list of things to do is now full of Christmas-related items.  Of course, finding the perfect Christmas gift is a task not to be taken lately.  He he.  And with my limitation to shop in a mall whenever I want, my fallback has become online shopping.  I am enjoying it still, especially the part when the packages get delivered to our doorstep.  I get really excited opening them and checking out each item I ordered.

Things on My Holiday List

October 23rd, 2010

One of the things I’m looking forward to do when we go back to our home country next month is to pamper myself with hair and skin treatments.  I didn’t care all that much about my skin this year and it surely paid off.  My skin is very dry and needs deep hydrating.  I’m still grateful, however, that I didn’t get acne on my face because of this.  Otherwise, I will have to look for the best acne product and I’m sure it won’t be easy.

Dare Not Sell

October 17th, 2010

Of all potential jobs I can apply for, jobs retail or retail gigs is something I would never go for.  I am not cut to please people and convince them to buy the products I’m supposed to sell.  I’d rather be at the back-end of the business, doing paper work for example, rather than facing customers.  I cringe at the thought of selling something for a living because I’m sure I’d be a total failure!

The Way to Fitness

October 17th, 2010

I have never made a New Year’s resolution all my life but I’m thinking of breaking that trend next year.  Although my goals are purely personal like fitness and pursuing interests, I still feel that having a list of resolution and sharing it with say, my husband will put some accountability to it.  Since I mentioned fitness, my goal is not really to lose weight (I think I’m already underweight) but to be fit.  I don’t want to wait until I fall sick before I do something to keep me healthy, and that is apart from eating well.  So, I might buy a Zumba DVD, join a group within our suburb that do Zumba, buy a new exercise get-up (I still have my running shorts from way back but I dare not wear it for my new exercise program!).  I’m excited!

Anything is Possible

October 15th, 2010

We are thinking about the possibility of going on a U.S. vacation instead of our usual holidays spent in our home country.  Our kids are big enough to travel and best of all, to enjoy the sights especially in Disneyland or Universal Studios.  Maybe we could visit the East Coast or spend a few days for an Orlando vacation.  Anything is possible at this point.  We shall see.

A Good Fallback

October 11th, 2010

A friend of mine shared an online job portal for moms a few weeks back.  It covers a wide scope of jobs ranging from marketing, information technology to healthcare jobs.  What I like about the site is that it also has jobs ads with work from home arrangements, to be specific, it’s work from home and part time arrangements.  It sounds so perfect for me since I don’t intend to work full time in the near future.  But, we’ll see how it goes.  It is good to know that there is this resource that I can easily check out if I want to start working again.

Packing Away

October 7th, 2010

I should be able to start packing away our thick sweaters and winter blankets as the weather these days have become much warmer.  I bought boxes of vacuum seal bags which were on sale during winter time, and they should be enough to fit all of those stuff that I need to temporarily put away.  And this also means that I have to go back to more ironing duties since we can no longer cover creases on our shirts with sweaters.

Slide, Slide Go For a Ride

October 7th, 2010

One more thing that my daughter looks forward to do in our neighborhood is to play in our neighbor’s trampoline and wood swing set.  Whenever we pass by their house, which is right smack at our villa’s entrance, she’d say that she want to play on the swing and slide.  So far, we haven’t had a weekend where we’re not busy but hopefully the coming weekends will be more relaxing.
